About Auskick

An introduction to Australian Football and invaluable life skills.

With game-based activities kids love, learning is disguised as playing. You don’t need Aussie Rules experience — children can start Auskick in the calendar year they turn 5!

Older Auskickers are fostered into the U8s for experience, when they are ready.

Auskick is non-competitive

Some call it organised chaos, we call it really good fun.

With NAB AFL Auskick, we believe game-based activities make for more active and confident kiddos. And to ensure safe and fair play, Auskickers are divided by age and have optional all-girls groups. They’ll get comfortable on the footy field, while laughing and learning along the way.

Sessions run only one hour per week, and there’s no need for expensive kit — Auskickers can wear whatever they’re comfortable in.

Player receives an official back pack full of AFL sporting goodies

Aside from friendships, family time, and significant life skills, NAB AFL Auskickers get money-can’t-buy benefits including a unique pack of exclusive footy goodies, an Auskick Junior Club Membership for the AFL club of their choice (including access to games!),

Half-time games at the SCG

They also have a real good chance to play halftime at AFL and AFLW elite matches alongside their footy heroes..

Auskick Season

Seasons typically run from April to August inclusive and we hold two sessions per week: Wednesdays 4.30 – 5.30 and Sundays 8.30 am to 9.30 am. Games start with AFL skills and drills (for approximately 25 minutes) and then the kids are divided into smaller age groups (4,5,6) and bigger age groups (7,8) to play an AFL game. Other factors such as their skill level and height are also taken into account when splitting into groups.

We play every week at Lionel Watts Oval.
