Auskick is for boys and girls ages 4 to 8 years. Our Auskickers have a great time getting fit and learning new skills but are having too much fun to realise it.
Because the Auskick competition is very localised the demands on mum and dad are very minimal so everyone has a good time at Auskick.
Older Auskickers are fostered into the U9s for experience, when they are ready.
Auskick is non-competitive
It is non-competitive with the focus on skills, fun and fitness. Practice matches are sometimes played where mums and dads are the opposition!
Player receives an official back pack full of AFL sporting goodies
Every player who registers and turns 8 or younger this year gets an official back pack full of AFL sporting goodies.
Half-time games at the SCG
They also have a real good chance of playing during 1/2 time at a Swans SCG game which is a memory for life.
Seasons typically run from March to August inclusive and all games are on Sundays 8.30 am to 9.30 am. Games start with AFL skills and drills (for approximately 25 minutes) and then the kids are divided into smaller age groups (4,5,6) and bigger age groups (7,8) to play an AFL game. Other factors such as their skill level and height are also taken into account when splitting into groups.
We play every second week at Lionel Watts Oval and we travel to Pittwater or Manly every other week.
